About Rambling Chantrix

I'm a trans writer in my mid-30s, based in California. I write about authentic queer experiences—sometimes painful, sometimes euphoric. I am also or have been a TTRPG designer, game developer, web designer, anime blogger, oracle, healer, revolutionary activist, and hikkikomori loser. This all informs my art, but being a sleepy disabled goober determines the rate at which I actually write anything (glacially).

About RC's Writing

Most of my stories are free, in some form or another, on Literotica and AO3. I typically write short stories (between 5k and 15k words) set in or around Stewardland, but I've been known to dip my toes in anime fanfic or Greek myth retelling.

About Stewardland

Starting with the original draft of "Juice For Juice" back in 2019, I have been developing an alternate universe for my writing that involves a little bit of historical manipulation and a lot of demonic interference.

The world of my stories is much like ours. The environment is in decline. Capitalism is failing the masses. Queer people struggle with whether and how to find love that works for them.

About RC's Characters

I have an ever-expanding, rotating cast of hapless weirdos roaming between the pages of my stories. Something I like playing with is showing a character's development across several discrete stories, often from a variety of perspectives. For instance, one of the main thematic arcs of Sad Porn about the End of the World is Rachel's struggle to find love. We only see this struggle from her perspective once, but the stories of Shirby, Fumine, and Vivian all inform our understanding of Rachel's evolution.

This relationship chart reflects the web of connections in my book, though the full cast has already ballooned beyond this.
